This recipe has a couple of servings – can’t get any more specific than that! I made it recently and we, as a group of five grown-ups ate it all.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe medium bananas
- 225g white flour (405)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 100g brown sugar
- 2tsp cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp sea salt
- 125g margarine
- 1 egg
- optional
- 20g walnuts
- 50g spent grain
- 2 EL fermented ginger
Equipment
- 1 fork
- 1 plate
- 1 scale
- 1 bowl
- 1 small pot
- 1 silicon dough scraper
- 1 coated baking pan
Time
- 20min preparation
- 45 min baking (180 C, 350 F)
- 30min cooling (room temp)
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C). Put out all the equipment and ingredients. Read the complete recipe carefully.
Peel the bananas and mash them on the plate with the fork.Â
Measure the flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon and sea salt and mix them in a bowl. If you use spent grain, mix it in as well.Â
Melt the butter in the pot.
Combine the mixture with the melted butter, bananas and the egg. If you use the fermented ginger, mix it in as well.
Carefully stir in the chopped walnuts.Â
Put the dough into the baking pan and bake for 45min.Â
Let the banana bread cool down, serve and enjoy!
